Admiral (Retired) Archie Clemins
Admiral Archie Clemins is a proven strategist and implementer of high technology solutions in both the U.S. Government and the private sector. He has successfully engaged foreign militaries and allied nations while leading efforts to increase their interoperability with the United States. With more than 25 years experience heading major organizations, he specializes in facilitating alliance partnerships and developing opportunities for the use of primarily commercial solutions to address government interoperability, collaboration, intelligence and tactical challenges.
In addition to his position as founder and president of Caribou Technologies, he serves on public, private and non-profit boards of primarily technology companies. He is a venture partner with Highway 12 Ventures, where he serves on advisory boards of several promising entrepreneurial companies.
He concluded his 34-year military career as the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. His early career was spent in the nuclear submarine force where he commanded the attack submarine USS Pogy (SSN647) and Submarine Group Seven. He subsequently commanded U.S. Pacific Fleet Training Command and the U.S Seventh Fleet headquartered in Yokosuka, Japan.
Archie Clemins holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from the University of Illinois. He was also awarded AFCEA’s David Sarnoff Award of Outstanding Leadership and is a Member of the National Academy of Engineering.
